You deserve meaningful care and support

You deserve meaningful care and support

As your postpartum doula I will always have you as my primary focus and arrive without expectations - setting me apart from even the most well-meaning guest.

I offer in home support, in your pocket (online) support, postpartum planning sessions, parenthood chats, and meal delivery.

Yeah, but Char what do you actually do?!

I hear you - what is this wizardry? Not only does it take a village to raise a babe, it takes a village to hold a family. Hearing about meaningful postpartum care and support can feel like wizardry, because somewhere along the way we seem to have lost the art of community care.

  • A kind and no-holds-barred ear. A shoulder to cry on. Someone to laugh with, to run you a bath, brew you a cuppa, rub your feet, tuck you in tight, and remind you that you are freaking amazing. An extra set of hands to help decipher the equal parts impressive and impossible instruction manual on that baby item. How could anything so sweet and mini require so many hands to assemble?!

  • Let me act as the gatekeeper, care for babe, and take care of light housework so that you can put your feet up and catch up on some much needed zzzs. Forget about the washing, I’ve got you! Fresh sheet feeling fiend? Oof - me too!

  • Food is my love language. My food focuses on replenishing you and providing fuel for those long days and nights and, most of all, tastes freaking delish.

  • To honour and unpack your birth day, your rebirth as a parent, and babe’s transition earth-side.

  • Together, we can talk about your feeding preferences and make sure that you have all of the supports you need. Together, we are going cut through the BS, and tune out the noise. We will identify local support networks and professionals so that you have a team in place to call on whenever you need.

  • The opportunity to talk about your birth day preferences, and guidance in developing a birth map that you can easily share with your team.

  • The opportunity to talk about what your ideal first days, weeks and months will look like so we can put plans in place, establish boundaries, and share these with your kin. Think of me as the bouncer of your dreams.

  • In a world of information overload, I will connect you with evidence-based support and professionals to help you tune out the noise. Rest assured, it’s going to be a BS free zone.

  • Because becoming a big sibling is big work, filled with big feelings. Cue fun activities to have them entertained and involved without the frazzle, or any of the craft project clean up.

  • Charlotte has such a non-judgemental, calming presence. No matter what chaos she walked into, she would make sure that I was able to take a deep breath, have a cup of tea, and be completely taken care of. The little touches didn't go unnoticed.

  • Charlotte's presence in the first few months of our son's life provided us not only with the little breaks we so greatly needed, but also gentle support, humour and kindness for ourselves as we acclimatised to our new life. Charlotte caught us as we fell into the world of two kids.

  • Charlotte was incredible and exceeded my expectations. She slipped into our home so effortlessly and just did the things that needed to be done so easily while also caring for me and my newborn. I can’t recommend her service enough.
